1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Vislan, including the website, AI character chats, character creation tools, community features, memory features, and Vislan Pro. By using Vislan or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Vislan is operated as an online software service from Kuwait. Questions about these Terms can be sent to supportvislan@gmail.com.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally permitted to use Vislan and enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity that occurs through your account. You must not create accounts for fraudulent, abusive, or prohibited purposes.
Google sign-in may be offered as an alternative login method. Use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.
3. The Vislan service
Vislan provides AI-powered interactive storytelling and fictional character roleplay. Features may include public and private characters, personas, persistent story memory, creator tools, community updates, and account-based synchronization. AI responses are generated automatically and may sometimes be inaccurate, repetitive, inconsistent, unexpected, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.
Vislan may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, product development, or abuse prevention.
4. Your content and public content
You retain rights you already hold in original content you submit to Vislan. You grant Vislan a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and support the service, including generating AI responses, maintaining story memory, and syncing your account.
Content you intentionally publish as public, such as public characters, creator profiles, comments, or community interactions, may be visible to other users. Private chats are not made public merely because you use Vislan.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to upload or publish content. Do not upload content that unlawfully infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
5. AI-generated content
AI-generated responses are fictional outputs and should not be treated as factual, professional, medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Vislan does not guarantee that generated output will be accurate, original, uninterrupted, or consistent with your expectations. You are responsible for deciding how to use or rely on generated content.
Characters are intended to be fictional experiences unless clearly disclosed otherwise. Deceptive or harmful impersonation of real people is not permitted.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Vislan to break the law, exploit or sexualize minors, distribute malware, steal credentials, run scams, harass or threaten people, expose private information, facilitate non-consensual intimate content, engage in deceptive real-person impersonation, infringe intellectual property rights, spam community features, evade enforcement, interfere with service security, or bypass technical or plan limits.
Additional content rules may appear in Vislan's Safety & Community Standards. Those rules form part of these Terms.
7. Moderation and enforcement
Vislan may review reports and take proportionate action, including limiting visibility, removing content, restricting features, suspending accounts, or terminating accounts, when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or the service, comply with law, or prevent abuse. Severe or repeated violations may result in immediate action.
We may preserve information reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, handle disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
8. Free and Pro plans
Vislan may offer a free plan and paid subscription plans. Current plan features, usage limits, and prices are shown on the Vislan Pro page and at checkout. Usage limits and included features may change over time, but we will not charge you a new price without the notice or consent required by applicable law.
Vislan Pro is currently offered as a recurring subscription. Unless canceled, it renews automatically at the billing interval shown at checkout.
9. Payments, renewals, and Paddle
Paid Vislan subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle is responsible for processing payment, applicable transaction taxes, receipts, and certain buyer-support functions. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy presented at checkout.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize the applicable recurring charges shown at checkout until cancellation. You can cancel through Paddle's customer portal or the subscription-management link in your Paddle receipt. Unless a different rule is required by law or shown at checkout, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and prevents future renewals.
10. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, Paddle's applicable buyer terms and refund policy, and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
11. Advertising
Eligible free-plan surfaces may contain advertising. Vislan Pro is intended to be ad-free while an eligible paid subscription is active. We do not intend to place ordinary display advertising inside the private roleplay conversation itself.
12. Vislan intellectual property
Vislan and its licensors retain all rights in the service software, design, branding, logos, original platform assets, and other materials supplied by Vislan. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Vislan's intellectual property to you.
You may not resell, reproduce, reverse engineer, scrape at harmful scale, circumvent access controls, use Vislan to create an unauthorized competing dataset, or falsely imply sponsorship or affiliation, except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.
13. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
You may stop using Vislan at any time and may request account deletion through available account controls or by contacting supportvislan@gmail.com. Ending your Vislan account does not automatically create a refund for a paid period already purchased, and you should separately cancel any active Paddle subscription to stop future billing.
We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, security threats, fraud, legal requirements, or serious abuse.
14. Service disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vislan is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect memory, permanent availability of any character, error-free AI output, or compatibility with every device or third-party service.
15. Liability and mandatory rights
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vislan is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic losses arising from use of the service where such limitations are legally permitted. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
Your jurisdiction may give you rights that override parts of these Terms. Where that happens, the mandatory law controls.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, law, or our business practices change. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice where required by law. Continued use after an effective update means the revised Terms apply to future use, subject to mandatory legal rights.
